Neath Port Talbot Public Services Board (PSB) is asking third sector organisations, charities, voluntary and community groups in the county borough to complete a short five to ten-minute research study to find out where the sector is digitally and to pinpoint any gaps in digital skills.
The PSB includes Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Natural Resources Wales, Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service and a number of other representatives from across public service organisations.
Cllr Rob Jones, Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council and Chair of the Public Services Board said: "I would encourage all third sector organisations in Neath Port Talbot to take part in the survey.
“The results will prove to be an important resource to help us build a picture of where the third sector is digitally and to find out what is needed to help organisations and groups in the county borough move forward in a digital age.
“This study further demonstrates our commitment to encouraging a truly digital literate county borough”.
Director of Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service, Gaynor Richards, MBE, said: “The voluntary sector already plays a vital role in helping people get on-line. This survey provides an exciting opportunity for us to build on the sector’s achievements and play a full part in supporting communities in a digital age”.
The digital capability survey will run until midnight on 15th September 2017. To take part, visit https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/NPT_Digital_Survey. Hard copies of the survey are available at Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service, Alfred Street, Neath.
